City East Specialist Day Hospital newest addition to Virtus Health

Virtus Health is pleased to announce the acquisition of Maroubra Day Surgery in Sydney.

Collaboration with the shareholders of the Maroubra Day Surgery initially commenced in 2004, when IVFAustralia relocated its IVF clinic from the Royal Women’s Hospital in Randwick to the same building as the Maroubra Day Surgery and entered into a joint venture partnership with the Maroubra Day Surgery shareholders. The partnership was highly successful with the doctors and staff working to enhance all aspects of the day surgery and patient experience.

Servicing Sydney’s Eastern suburbs, the private day hospital will continue its focus on gastroenterology, gynaecology, IVF, paediatric, ophthalmic and plastic surgery.

Maroubra Day Surgery has been relaunched as City East Specialist Day Hospital to bring it under the Virtus Health umbrella of day surgeries and in line with the other four wholly owned day hospitals within the Virtus Health Group. These hospitals include North Shore Specialist Day Hospital in Sydney, Spring Hill Specialist Day Hospital in Brisbane, East Melbourne Specialist Day Hospital, and Mackay Specialist Day Hospital. Virtus Health also has a joint venture partnership in the City West Day Surgery in Westmead, Sydney.
