Virtus Health has reinforced its commitment to investing in scientific leadership and world-class technology for its patients with its outstanding involvement at this year’s Fertility Society of Australia (FSA) conference, hosted in Sydney from 1-4 September.

Melbourne IVF, Queensland Fertility Group (QFG), and IVFAustralia were the three clinics that contributed the greatest number of scientific presentations in the area of Assisted Reproductive Technology to the conference’s scientific program - more than any other fertility group in Australia.

Melbourne IVF’s A/Prof Kate Stern, presentation on the First reported pregnancy from heterotopic grafted frozen ovarian tissue after bilateral oophorectomy was the outstanding scientific announcement of the conference - a culmination of 20 years medical and scientific research. This world-first in IVF has gone on to receive national and international acclaim.

Andrew Noble from QFG was awarded Best Poster Presentation, and Carmel Carrigan, also from QFG was awarded Best Paper by a Nurse. Queensland Fertility Group has now won the Best Paper by a Nurse prize five times in the last six years.

This week’s events cement Virtus Health’s commitment to leading fertility and IVF research in order to improve outcomes for patients.
